WWE did something different this week on social media. To hype fans for the big SmackDown show, they aired Rey Mysterio and AJ Styles’ entrances live.

This is a new tactic to snag viewership. It also let fans know which match was going to kick off this week’s show. Only time will tell if it really helps with viewership, but it couldn’t hurt.

We will have to see if WWE tried anything like this in the future to snag extra eyes on their shows. We have to give them credit for this one, because a lot of fans might tune in just to see those entrances.

What’s your take on this new tactic from WWE? Do you think it will help with viewership? Sound off in the comments!
