WWE’s 2023 Draft is still ongoing, but we have a bit of an intermission as fans prepare for night two of the WWE Draft to start on RAW this week. So far, WWE has entertained fans, and surprised a few, as they build their rosters for the next year. That begs a serious question about how much say Vince McMahon had in things.
Ringside News exclusively reported about the NXT call-ups during the 2023 WWE Draft. We were told that decisions to call up these NXT Superstars were made several weeks ago.
Ringside News reached out to ask about Vince McMahon’s involvement in the 2023 WWE Draft. We were told that, “there were no major changes in the final week before the draft.” Right now, the belief within the creative team is that “either the decisions were discussed with Vince a long time in advance or there were no major changes from him.”
As Ringside News exclusively reported, a source within the company confirmed to us that, “if he has, it hasn’t been shared with the writing team.” It seems that did not change as the draft got even closer.
Ringside News exclusively reported a couple of weeks ago that Vince McMahon had had changed anything about the 2023 Draft at that time. It seems that Vince kept his hands invisible in the draft decisions, if he had any alterations to make at all.
It is always important to remember that WWE is still Vince McMahon’s company, so Mr. McMahon could always swoop in whenever he wants and switch things up. We also exclusively reported that the 2023 WWE Draft had no bearing on Vince McMahon’s return to the company, or vice versa.
