WWE will hold another draft very soon, and while the company hasn’t announced an official date yet, the current thought is that fans will see a roster shake-up on May 8th in Jacksonville, Florida. Vince McMahon’s return to WWE is changing a lot of things throughout the company, but the draft was not affected.

Vince McMahon returned to the company in order to usher in a sale and work on television media rights. With Endeavor becoming majority owner of the company and merging WWE and UFC, that sale part is done. Many fans are a bit upset that Vince McMahon didn’t stay in his lane and continues to alter creative when he promised not to “get in the weeds.”

Ringside News reached out to ask about the upcoming WWE Draft. We also wanted to know if Vince McMahon’s return has anything to do with the situation. We were told that, “Vince’s return to the company has not impacted the draft.”

Triple H is still running WWE’s day-to-day creative direction, and it seems that Vince McMahon’s return to WWE had no bearing on WWE’s decision to pop on another draft. It was simply time to do another draft, because they hold one of those special occasions around this time every year.

We’ll have to see what the rosters look like this time next month. For all we know, factions could be split up, new tag teams could be formed, and titles could jump brands. Obviously, there are a lot of unpredictable elements associated with draft season, which makes things even more interesting.

What’s your take on this year’s WWE Draft? Who do you want to see shaken up? Sound off in the comments!
