Former WWE star Trinity Fatu, known as Naomi during her time with the company, is set to debut with Impact Wrestling. The news was reported earlier today by PWInsider, who confirmed that the former Women’s Champion will be jumping to Impact Wrestling as part of a run with the company’s Knockouts Division.

Naomi left WWE almost a year ago, along with Sasha Banks, due to Vince McMahon’s booking decisions. Ringside News previously reported that Naomi would have re-signed with WWE if it weren’t for Banks. However, Mercedes Mone, also known as Sasha Banks, held out for more favorable terms, causing Naomi to follow suit. This led to Banks cutting other deals without Naomi, and ultimately, the two women walking out of the company.

As we previously reported, Vince McMahon actually laughed at a joke backstage about Sasha Banks and Naomi walking out. That walkout opened the door for a few people to take shots at the former WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions. Others, like Bianca Belair, refused to publicly comment on the situation.

CM Punk even commented on Sasha Banks and Naomi’s walkout, and he was called out for virtue signaling. Some WWE Superstars benefited from this walkout, like Liv Morgan’s reported push.

Naomi’s signing with Impact Wrestling is a surprise, but it is expected to bring a lot of veteran insight to the roster. She has been in big match situations in the past and is sure to be pushed to the top of the Knockouts Division.

It is also worth noting that Naomi’s signing with Impact Wrestling comes amid reports that her price tag was too high for other promotions such as STARDOM. However, with her signing, it is clear that Impact Wrestling was willing to make the necessary investment to bring her on board.

It remains to be seen how Naomi will fare with Impact Wrestling, but her signing is undoubtedly a major coup for the company. The former Total Divas star is a talented wrestler with a large following, and her addition to the Knockouts Division is sure to bring more attention to the company.
