CM Punk Received Warm Reception Backstage At WWE RAW This Week

CM Punk showed up before WWE RAW this week, and nobody expected to see him at the Allstate Center. He was asked to leave, but before that happened, it was apparently a very nice reunion for Punk backstage in WWE.

As we previously reported, CM Punk was asked to leave WWE RAW this week, but he was backstage for while. Punk reportedly got to see several members of the roster and also talk to Triple H. It was also reported exactly who asked CM Punk to leave. Some WWE Superstars also believe that CM Punk only showed up to hype his AEW return. CM Punk and The Miz were also able to bury the hatchet.

According to an update from PW Insider, CM Punk actually received a very warm reception backstage at WWE RAW this week. The Second City Savior hadn’t been seen backstage in WWE since 2014, so a lot of people were very happy to see him.

We are told that the talents who saw Punk greeted him warmly as most haven’t seen him since 2014.

It was also noted that CM Punk and Paul Levesque saw each other for a brief moment as well. It was not noted what they spoke about, but we have heard that Punk gave no issue when he was asked to leave.

CM Punk showing up at WWE RAW was unexpected. We’ll have to see who might show up next that we aren’t expecting. Only time will tell when CM Punk appears on AEW television again, but some backstage believe that this was a stunt to drum up publicity for his AEW return.
