WWE rolled through Chicago for RAW this week, and you never know who might show up. It turns out that CM Punk was actually in the building for a while, but he was eventually asked to leave.

As we previously reported, CM Punk was asked to leave WWE RAW this week, but he was backstage for a while. Punk reportedly got to see several members of the roster and also talk to Triple H.

Sean Sapp noted behind Fightful’s paywall that WWE’s head of security was actually the one who asked CM Punk to leave the Allstate Center this week. It was also noted that Punk left without any incident at all.

Several talent had been told that CM Punk was asked to leave by Jim Kelly, WWE’s head of security, and Keith Burgdoff but that hadn’t been confirmed.

It was also noted that, “Vince McMahon was rumored to have sent the orders remotely.” Mr. McMahon was not at RAW this week, but he was still able to make several changes to the show.

It’s unknown exactly why CM Punk was asked to leave backstage at WWE RAW. The fact that he is still under contract with AEW could have certainly played into it. Either way, it was apparent that he had a good enough time while he was visiting, but it had to be a short stay.

What’s your take on CM Punk showing up at WWE RAW this week? Why do you think he did it? Sound off in the comments!
