WWE is preparing for another draft, and every eligible Superstar will be up for grabs. This brought a lot of rumors out about who is next in line for their main roster call-up, but we have to squash some of those.

This year’s WWE Draft will get started on the April 28th episode of SmackDown, and they will finish up then two-night event on the May 1st episode of Monday Night Raw. WWE has a lot of plans in place, but that doesn’t mean the rumors about the upcoming draft are true.

As we previously reported via Fightful, “those that we spoke to said that scheduling the WWE Draft was around the NFL Draft was ‘not an accident.'”

Xero News reported that, “Tyler Bate, Pretty Deadly, Cameron Grimes, Bron Breakker, Ilja Dragunov are all potential names who could be called up for the men.” It was also noted that, “Indi Hartwell was originally planned for a main roster debut but as she is the current NXT Women’s Champion, it seems off the cards for now. Could see Nikitta Lyons potentially, not sure though. A couple women will definitely be coming up.”

WRKD Wrestling also reported that Tyler Bate impressed WWE higher-ups with his match on Main Event against Dolph Ziggler. It was said that he is now in line for a WWE main roster call-up.

Ringside News asked to confirm these draft stories. We were not given any spoilers, “except to say everything online so far is fake news.” We did receive one very interesting note back that said, “no spoilers on Tyler Bate.”

WWE always likes to surprise fans and Superstars alike with their Draft choices. They also get an organic reaction when they announce names on live television. We will have to see how WWE surprises us so far, but the roster shake-up is always an interesting event.

We previously reported that Cameron Grimes is ready for a main roster call-up. He finished up in NXT and has been waiting on the right creative for months.

Ringside News exclusively reported that Vince McMahon has kept his hands out of the WWE Draft so far this year. Also, the draft has nothing to do with McMahon’s return to the company. We also confirmed that WWE was planning the draft for, at least, a month prior to the announcement.

What’s your take on the 2023 WWE Draft? Who do you think should get switched around? Sound off in the comments!
