Triple H took over WWE’s creative direction when Vince McMahon stepped down from his position. He has led WWE as their sole Chief Creative Officer, even though McMahon is now calling some shots from his new position. This led to a very interesting time in WWE history, one we are still sifting through to this day.

WWE was seemingly gearing up for another King of the Ring and Queen of the Ring event in Saudi Arabia. Then those plans were changed to Night of Champions. This seems to be a Triple H call, and it doesn’t look like that tournament will return right away.

PWInsider Elite stated that it is “less likely” the King of the Ring tournament will feature soon, given the recent creative changes. WWE is obviously going through a lot of changes right now, and this transition is notable.

We’ll have to see if WWE brings back the King of the Ring and Queen of the Ring tournaments. Xavier Woods won the tournament last time, and carried on as King until Roman Reigns put a stop to that. Zelina Vega also won the Queen’s Crown, but she has since dropped that gimmick along with her fake English accent.
