Vince McMahon may not be showing up at the WWE Hall of Fame this year, even with his daughter Stephanie McMahon set to headline the ceremony during WrestleMania weekend.

Talk about Vince’s possible attendance came up during WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select, where Joey Votes shared what he’s hearing from people inside WWE. With Stephanie McMahon taking center stage for one of the biggest honors of her career, there has been plenty of curiosity about whether Vince would be there to watch it happen. Joey Votes explained that, as of now, WWE is not expecting Vince McMahon to be part of the ceremony, even though there is always a chance plans could shift late.

“According to a source with knowledge of the situation, those within WWE are not anticipating, nor have they heard anything to indicate that Vince McMahon will make an appearance at the Hall of Fame ceremony, which of course is headlined by his daughter, Stephanie McMahon. In speaking with one contact, we're told it remains possible that things could change at the last minute. But as of today, WWE is not planning for Vince McMahon to be in attendance. No additional measures are in place to allow this to happen.”

After hearing that information, TC shared his take on why staying away might actually be the smartest move. He pointed out that Vince showing up could easily shift the attention away from Stephanie on what should be her moment.

“Well, there was no invite extended and there's no ban currently in place either… I think Vince knows his place. I don't think he wants to have the focal point on him when it's his daughter's night. And him being there, I think takes away all the attention away from Stephanie.”

TC also mentioned that Vince’s ongoing legal issues make any public appearance complicated, especially at a major WWE event where cameras and media attention are guaranteed.

“Having Vince show up there doesn't do him any favors in the court of public opinion, nor in the court of law either… I think him staying away is the best thing.”

Stephanie McMahon’s Hall of Fame induction is expected to be one of the most emotional moments of WrestleMania weekend, given her long history with WWE both on-screen and behind the scenes. Whether Vince McMahon changes course at the last minute remains to be seen, but right now, the expectation internally is that he won’t be there.
