The WWE Draft is always a major event for the whole company, as excitement is always in the air around that time. Many fans wonder whether their favorite Superstars will end up working on different brands, shaking things up in a big way. While WWE has full control of the Draft, it appears that an ex-WWE manager suggested that fans should control the Draft.

The Draft has been used to shake up the roster since the inception of the concept several years ago. Unlike Premium Live events where fan interaction is encouraged, fans have absolutely no interaction with the Draft.

While speaking on Smack Talk, former WWE manager Dutch Mantell suggested that WWE should make the most of their huge presence on social media and allow fans to make one pick from the upcoming Draft.

“This is my idea. Why not! For one pick, at least, let the people make the choice! You know, like, picking the winner that the people can vote for (like talent shows). And I’d have the people vote and have them do it. At least one pick. And now, for creative, you’ll have to say, ‘Well, now you’ll have to work with it.'”

Dutch Mantell made it clear that he believes getting more fan involvement will be a massive success for the company, adding that it would definitely work.

”I think it will work. You can get a lot of coverage on it, and you can actually see how many people actually vote, and those are your rabid fans. Telling them they could make a difference, they could make a choice. I think you’d get a good response out of that. I really do because I would vote.”

This year’s WWE Draft will begin on the April 28th episode of SmackDown and end on the May 1st episode of Monday Night Raw. As we exclusively reported, Vince McMahon is also not involved in the WWE Draft so far. Only time will tell whether WWE will end up paying heed to what Dutch Mantell said.

What’s your take on what Dutch Mantell said? Do you think fans should be able to vote during the WWE Draft? Sound off in the comments!
