Finn Balor’s Injury Status Raised Red Flag Before Rey Mysterio Match This Week

WWE had to make the best of who they had to work with this week on RAW. There were travel nightmares across the roster, but Finn Balor and Rey Mysterio still made the show. That being said, there was some concern about their match.

Sean Sapp noted behind Fightful’s paywall that some people within WWE were a bit concerned about Finn Balor’s match on RAW this week. Some were a bit worried that Balor’s current physical problems might be an issue in that match.

There was concern from some backstage with Finn Balor working against Rey Mysterio as he was said to be banged up.

Finn Balor and Edge threw down at WrestleMania and left everything in the ring for their Hell in a Cell match. Balor was also busted open the hard way after taking steel chair to the head. He was also nursing a calf injury in the weeks leading up to that big match.

Although Finn Balor is banged up, he still carried on and did his job on RAW this week. Finn Balor vs Rey Mysterio is a dream match that some fans might have taken for granted, but it still went down on RAW this week.
