John Cena’s Hollywood career is still going strong, and his name recently appeared in the latest trailer for the Barbie Movie. We don’t know how much screen time Cena is going to get in the new film, but he will have very interesting motivation.
The Barbie Movie, starring Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling, will hit theaters this summer, and this will be a historic film for the famous Mattel doll. While Barbie has received films in the past, they’ve always been given the cartoon treatment, but this will be her first live-action outing.
It was mentioned in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that John Cena will be in that upcoming movie. Also, his character wants to get with a mermaid, which is very interesting, to say the least.

John Cena has taken on plenty of high-profile feuds in WWE that were followed by blockbuster movie roles. It appears that he will branch into a brand-new territory with the Barbie movie. We have a lot of questions about how this role will turn out for the former 16x World Champion, but apparently the Barbie Movie will have something for everyone.
The Barbie Movie had $100 million budget to make the best movie they can. Fans will still have to wait a bit before Barbie’s big screen debut, because Barbie is scheduled to be released in the United States on July 21st. We have to wonder if John Cena will steal the show.
