Cody Rhodes’ return to WWE excited his supporters in a big way, and his Nightmare Family only continues to show that support by throwing down big money. Thanks to his ability to connect with fans and get them to open their wallets, Cody Rhodes was the top merchandise mover over WrestleMania weekend.

We previously reported that Cody Rhodes found his way into the top merchandise earners spot for WWE. That came after years away from the company, where his momentum continues building, and now he is back so WWE can cash in.

Sean Sapp noted behind Fightful’s paywall that, although WrestleMania branded merchandise was the top seller over the weekend in Los Angeles, Cody Rhodes was the top individual merchandise earner on the entire roster.

WWE/WrestleMania generic themed merchandise was the top selling throughout Mania week. We’re told Cody Rhodes topped individual Superstar sales.

Cody Rhodes is making a very good payday from WWE during this run, and it seems his American Nightmare merchandise is incredibly popular as well. This will likely only encourage WWE to keep merchandising Cody’s name in every possible way they can, because WWE really likes making money.

Only time will tell if and when Cody Rhodes will finish his story, but it seems he will cash in some nice royalty checks along the way. For more on this, and every other story in the pro wrestling world, stay tuned to Ringside News.
