Vince McMahon is back in power, and he’s running the show just like always. That being said, morale if already low, and Triple H is now doing “busy work.” When it comes to WWE’s competition with AEW, that could be a bad situation for Tony Khan’s company.

During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer brought up how Triple H has a personal vendetta against AEW, because they beat NXT so often and ran them off Wednesday nights. Also, Vince McMahon’s return to power won’t make anything better for AEW in terms of the cutthroat nature of things.

“It’s Vince, Vince has an MO. It’s gonna be the same, if not worse. You know what, I think that because of what happened to NXT and losing every week and getting run off Wednesdays, I think it was more personal to Triple H to get back at Tony Khan, because I think that things, actually.”

“I remember Tony Khan’s comments on this, and I kinda see things the same way is that, ‘when Vince was out of power, you kind of think that ‘the big bad Vince is gone, and now we’re gonna have reasonable people there, maybe, you know, they’ll work together, whatever, it won’t be more cutthroat without Vince, so it ain’t gonna be any worse in that sense, but yeah, you know Vince is the master of that kind of business and Triple H has a personal issue with them. It ain’t gonna get better.”

It was noted that it would benefit Tony Khan if Vince McMahon’s return to power runs off talent. From a power standpoint, it is apparent that WWE really flex their muscles with WrestleMania, and Vince McMahon’s return to controlling WWE’s television product could certainly continue to shake things up.

WWE could do a lot of things to take a shot at AEW. They could also try to raid their roster. That being said, Kenny Omega’s opinion about his future in pro wrestling might have changed after Vince McMahon resumed control of the company’s major creative direction.

What’s your take on Vince McMahon returning to power in WWE? Are you glad that he’s back? Sound off in the comments!
