The episode of Monday Night RAW after WrestleMania is always a magical episode, full of surprises for fans. This week’s show was no different, as it featured the return of Matt Riddle and a bunch of other surprises. That said, it seems WWE made numerous last-minute changes to the show.

As previously reported, Vince McMahon was personally and heavily involved in this week’s RAW. It was added that he made changes to the script 15-20 minutes before Monday Night RAW. He also made changes when the show was already on air as well.

According to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful, more insight into these changes was given. The original plan for the show involved a tournament to determine the new #1 contender for Bianca Belair’s RAW Women’s Championship, which included two triple-threat matches featuring Liv Morgan vs. Dakota Kai vs. Piper Niven, and Candice LeRae vs. Raquel Rodriguez vs. IYO SKY. The winners would have faced each other for a chance to challenge Belair for the title.

However, these plans were changed in favor of the Morgan & Rodriguez vs. SKY & Kai match to determine the next challengers for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship. Morgan & Rodriguez won the match and earned a title shot against champions Becky Lynch & Lita on next week’s show.

It was further noted that the show was significantly different from how it was originally planned just a few hours before it aired. The pre-show plans released did not include a singles match between Omos and Elias, which ended up taking place at the end of the first hour.

With Vince McMahon fully back in the fold as far as WWE Creative is concerned, fans can expect more last-minute changes to take place every week now. We might be entering a new era of WWE, but some old things seem to have come back as well.

What’s your take on Vince McMahon returning to WWE Creative? Are you surprised by the last-minute changes? Sound off in the comments!
