Vince McMahon returned to power in WWE to pick things up where he left off. Now, morale is down backstage and Triple H is doing “busy work” while Vince is able to change the show while they’re live once again. That being said, Triple H inherited a lot of deals that Vince McMahon arranged, even before his exit.

During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer made it clear that Vince McMahon was the one who brought back Cody Rhodes. That being said, his deal with The Rock to face Roman Reigns at WrestleMania was also a deal that Mr. McMahon had cooked up.

“It was always going to be Cody or The Rock vs Roman and that was up to The Rock, either way. That didn’t change with Triple H, that was Vince McMahon’s thing.”

The Rock did not work WrestleMania, because he said that he couldn’t get physically ready for the event in time. That is interesting considering how Dwayne Johnson’s physique is one of the best in Hollywood.

Either way, The Rock did not make his return at WrestleMania 39, and fans are still waiting for that to happen. Only time will tell if Vince McMahon’s return to power, and the company buyout, will convince The Rock to make that long awaited return to Vince McMahon’s company.

What’s your take on this situation with The Rock and WWE? Did he not return because of Triple H? Sound off in the comments section!
