Stephanie McMahon Was Backstage At WrestleMania 39 Amid Rumors Of WWE Return

Stephanie McMahon had been part of WWE for several years and was always a delight for fans and pro wrestlers alike. After becoming a highlight during the Attitude Era due to her numerous storylines, McMahon went on to manage many backstage roles in the company. McMahon resigned from her duties as co-CEO back in January, shocking many people. Now it seems Stephanie McMahon was backstage at WrestleMania amid rumors of her WWE return.

Stephanie McMahon had been on a leave of absence to spend time with family when she returned to work amid the investigation into her father Vince McMahon back in 2022.

Vince McMahon’s return to WWE as Executive Chairman of the Board of Directors led to Stephanie McMahon’s resignation. In fact, quite a few fans had started to believe that Stephanie McMahon’s exit may have something to do with the potential sale of the company to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Of course, there was no truth to this whatsoever.

WWE’s current sale process is also getting hot and heavy. As previously reported, WWE’s potential buyers want to hire back Stephanie McMahon. Obviously, nothing has been confirmed as of yet.

According to a report by PWInsider via Wrestling Headlines, Stephanie McMahon was backstage for WrestleMania 39 on Saturday. This marked her first show since resigning earlier this year.

WWE CEO Nick Khan also made it clear that they would love to have Stephanie McMahon back but felt that she was not ready just yet. We’ll have to see if Stephanie McMahon will return to WWE eventually.
