Cathy Kelley caught up with Austin Theory following his match against Montez Ford on WWE RAW this week. The WWE backstage correspondent asked Theory if he was rattled by Cena’s words during their confrontation two weeks ago on RAW. The champion said he’d be telling a lie if he said Cena words didn’t hurt him.

“Did John Cena’s words rattle me? You know what? I’m a liar if I say that those words didn’t hit me deep because they did. John Cena was an inspiration. He was a motivation, but that’s where it end.”

The former Money in the Bank winner previously said he could care less about the Boston crowd that motivated Cena to accept the match at WrestleMania 39, noting that his family will be at the event to watch him destroy his childhood hero.
