Sting last competed in an AEW ring at the Full Gear pay-per-view event, when he teamed up with Darby Allin against Jeff Jarrett and Jay Lethal in a No Disqualification match. The icon will make his in-ring return to the promotion this Wednesday on Dynamite.

AEW announced that Sting will make his in-ring return after months to team up with his protégé Darby Allin and current AEW International Championship Orange Cassidy against The Butcher, The Blade and Kip Sabin in a six-man tag team match on the upcoming episode of Wednesday Night.

Orange Cassidy and Darby Allin defeated The Butcher and The Blade at AEW’s first-ever house show this past Saturday in Troy, Ohio. Butcher, Blade and Kip Sabian issued challenge to Allin and Cassidy after the match. Tony Khan announced on Monday that the babyfaces had chosen Sting as their tag team partner for the match-up.
