Drew McIntyre Says The Triple Threat Match At WrestleMania 39 Will Redefined Physicality

Drew McIntyre has been prominent member of the WWE main roster for quite a few years now. The Scottish Warrior rose from obscurity and made himself into a main event caliber star that can hang with the best in the business. With WrestleMania 39 on the horizon, Drew McIntyre is slated to compete in a big match that, according to him, will redefine physicality.

Drew McIntyre punched his ticket to compete for the Intercontinental Championship at the upcoming Show of Shows. The match would be a triple threat match featuring Sheamus and the reigning champion, Gunther.

The match came to fruition when Sheamus and Drew McIntyre were slated to face each other this week on SmackDown. The match was made after a controversial finish in a No.1 contender’s match the week prior to that.

As the dust settled, Gunther and his faction, The Imperium laid an assault on both competitors. This prompted WWE Official Adam Pearce to make a triple threat match for the Intercontinental title official for WrestleMania.

The Scottish Warrior spoke about the match with Megan Morant this week on SmackDown LowDown. The three superstars would engage in a brutal barnburner at WrestleMania, according to McIntyre who feels that their match would be nothing short of a show stealer.

“People are going to be talking about this match all the way to Mania. It’s all three of us now. What happened, happened at the end. It’s a triple threat. I just feel sorry for anybody else on that show if you’re on after us. We’re gonna redefine physicality in that match. Nobody’s gonna be able to follow us. Drew McIntyre at the end of WrestleMania is gonna be the Intercontinental Champion.”

We have already seen Gunther and Sheamus delivering one of the best matches in the history of WWE last year. Adding the raw presence of Drew McIntyre would surely make it an ever-stronger bout and that would lead to the Intercontinental title match becoming a major highlight for WrestleMania 39.
