Matt Riddle was taken out of action thanks to a storyline injury from Solo Sikoa months ago, but he’s still not back. With the Royal Rumble in the rearview mirror, that game a perfect opportunity for the Original Bro’s return. Now that we’re on the road to WrestleMania, that return still doesn’t seem likely.

Matt Riddle tweeted out thank you while showing off his new grill. He wanted to thank everyone for their support during this time, and he also mentioned recovery. It seems that the story about his stint in rehab was legit, regardless of what they initially said.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter also noted that Matt Riddle’s situation is proof that WWE has changed their policy. They did not publicly announce Riddle’s Wellness Policy failure, as they have done in the past.

Riddle has now been gone more than 60 days, which would be the suspension for a second drug test failure. He wasn’t gone 30 days for the first one, but was gone close to 30 days. His injury angle was 12/5 and they said he’d be gone for six weeks, but we’re not coming up on 11 weeks and on 2/3 he’d have been eligible to return. His name is never mentioned, although when guys are out like that they usually don’t mention them so the return can be a surprise. It does mean the policy has changed because the company didn’t announce the suspension nor did they announce the alleged first one
