Andrade El Idolo debuted in AEW in 2021 following an uninspired run on the WWE main roster. Unfortunately, his run in AEW turned out to be a disappointment following a lot of questionable booking decisions. He has been absent from AEW television due to injury for a while now. That being said, it seems he has been working hard at the gym.

It was recently revealed that Andrade had suffered an injury and had to undergo surgery. Andrade El Idolo ended up tearing his pectoral muscle during a trios tag team match on House of The Dragon special edition of AEW Dynamite back in August last year.

Andrade El Idolo even bragged about finishing the match despite being injured. That being said, fans also wondered whether Idolo would even return to AEW considering all that happened to him last year.

While speaking on his podcast, To Be The Man, WWE Hall Of Famer Ric Flair talked about his son-in-law’s injury recovery. Flair noted that the last time he checked, Idolo was training very hard.

“I haven’t talked to him in a couple of weeks, so I don’t know exactly what the time frame is, but I know they’re training like hell. I know for a while Manny could only train with one arm, but he kept working his legs and everything.”

Andrade El Idolo is determined to rehab his injury and get back into shape for his inevitable in-ring return. We certainly hope Idolo will be able to return sooner rather than later. In the meantime, fans will simply have to play the waiting game till his return.
