Sami Zayn has experienced numerous gimmick changes over the years. The WWE superstar is the original ‘heart and soul’ of NXT as well. Sami Zayn moved to the main roster in 2015 and the rest was history.

For those who have been following Sami Zayn’s career since his NXT days, you might be familiar with his original theme song “World’s Apart.” The entrance music was synonymous with the fiery babyface Sami who put NXT on the map with matches against the likes of Shinsuke Nakamura, Antonio Cesaro and Adrian Neville.

Sami debuted a new theme song on the October 22, 2022, edition of WWE SmackDown. The song, “This Is It,” showed a symbolical progression of his character from babyface to heel. Although the former Honorary Uce has been using the theme for months now, he won’t mind bringing back the OG at the upcoming Elimination Chamber.

Speaking to The Sick Podcast, the former WWE Intercontinental Champion talked about possible reusing the theme song in his home country of Canada for the February 18th premium live event, where he’ll challenge Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship.

“I mean, if it were going to come back, I feel like that would be the time in place to do it. I’ve said this in other interviews. I feel like it would kind of be taking a step backward. I think maybe a new song is in the cards, but I feel like that song, even though people have a real fondness for it, it seems. From a character’s perspective, it just feels like taking a step backward. At the same time, doing it for like a one-night thing in Montreal might be cool. I don’t know.”

Sami Zayn sent defiant message about his identity in the wake of his ouster from The Bloodline as well. It remains to be seen how the feud between Sami Zayn and Roman Reigns will play out tonight on SmackDown.
