Jay Briscoe will always be remembered as one of the greatest tag team wrestlers of all time. His in-ring skills were amazing, and he was ready to put his body on the line for the sake of the fans’ entertainment. Hence, the news of his passing has hit the wrestling community badly, and they are still recovering from the tragic news. Briscoe passed away after his car collided head-on with a truck in Laurel, Delaware.

Apart from Jay Briscoe, the driver of the truck also passed away. Jay’s two daughters who were in the truck with him survived the accident with major injuries and are currently undergoing extensive physical therapy.

Following the news of his passing, the wrestling community came together in solidarity to pay tribute to their friend and comrade. WWE also announced his death during an episode of NXT despite Jay never working for the company.

AEW also paid tribute to Briscoe last week on Dynamite during an emotional main event that saw Mark Briscoe defeat Jay Lethal in a match that was watched by the whole AEW roster.

There is no official information as to who will attend the funeral. As we previously reported, AEW President Tony Khan has hired a private jet so that people who knew Jay Briscoe could attend the event.

It is sad to see a talented individual as young as Jay Briscoe pass away in such tragic circumstances. We at Ringside News send our heartfelt condolences to the family.
