Matt Riddle May Not Make It Back For WWE Royal Rumble

Matt Riddle was written off WWE television thanks to an injury angle after Solo Sikoa beat him down. It didn’t take long for news to break that the Original Bro actually popped dirty on WWE Wellness Policy test, and he was suspended. Now fans are waiting for his return, and they might have to wait a bit longer.

Riddle recently dropped photo with his children where he spoke about how great it is to be home. It seems that Matt Riddle was with his family and out of that reported rehab stay. Matt Riddle made his first public appearance with his girlfriend, Misha Montana, who is also an adult film star. They went to the XBiz Awards on Sunday night in Los Angeles.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter noted that Matt Riddle is out of rehab, and he also got a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu belt this week while training under Daniel Gracie. That being said, if his six-week injury return timeline was all for a WWE storyline, then he might actually have more time to wait for his Wellness Policy suspension to expire.

Riddle, who is out of rehab, got his BJJ black belt this past week training under Daniel Gracie. Riddle was announced as returning in six weeks after the injury angle on 12/12. That would indicate a Rumble return, although if he’s suspended two months, he wouldn’t make that timeline

This comes about after Matt Riddle’s ex-girlfriend made public accusations of sexual abuse. Daniella Petrow claimed that Matt Riddle had sexually assaulted her in a series of videos that she shared on social media. Riddle has not publicly addressed that accusation.

Matt Riddle’s situation is interesting, because we’ve heard more from the adult film star companions in his life than him during his hiatus. We can only hope that he is doing much better after this stint in rehab, but his WWE suspension might not be up in time for the Royal Rumble on January 28th if he really has to wait longer.
