Conflicting Report On Matt Riddle’s WWE Wellness Policy Failure

Matt Riddle was suspended from WWE after failing a wellness policy test. He was written off television after he was violently attacked by Solo Sikoa. Riddle might have left in an ambulance on RAW, but he didn’t go to rehab afterward.

Matt Riddle’s storyline injury happened following an unsuccessful attempt to win the Undisputed Tag Team Championships with Kevin Owens. As previously stated, the assault angle was created as result of Riddle failing a second drug test this year, with the idea that he would go to rehab. Over the summer, Riddle violated the company’s wellness policy, but it was reportedly kept quiet.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that one source close to Riddle denied the story. According to the source, he was taking time off because of the pressure of a divorce.
