Cody Rhodes returned to WWE last year at WrestleMania 38, where he had one of the best entrances of the night. He made a grand entrance and had a highly-praised match against Seth Rollins. Rhodes quickly established himself as a prominent figure in the company and had a successful run before taking a hiatus due to a torn pec injury. With Rhodes’ return being imminent, it seems he is already training at the WWE Performance Center.

Cody Rhodes has been absent since the Hell In A Cell Premium Live Event due to torn pectoral injury. Rhodes defeated Seth Rollins in the brutal match, where he worked the match while being injured.

The brutal Hell in a Cell match boosted Cody Rhodes’ stock significantly. WWE has also been releasing hype videos in preparation for his imminent return. According to a report by Fightful’s paywall, The American Nightmare has been training at the WWE Performance Center, ahead of his return.

Sources familiar with the situation confirmed to Fightful Select that not only is Cody Rhodes preparing for his return, he’s been at the WWE Performance Center to prepare. Cody Rhodes (and his big ass bus) were both spotted at the Performance Center in late December, as were members of his family and team.

AEW might not be around today without Cody Rhodes’ help. His departure from AEW left a big hole in the company, but he had unfinished business in WWE. With the Royal Rumble in sight on January 28th, it looks like Cody Rhodes is going to be more than ready for the event.

It was further added that Cody Rhodes personally chose NXT stars Joe Gacy and Carmelo Hayes to help him out with his in-ring training. Cody Rhode is also the current favorite to win the Royal Rumble this year.

Cody Rhodes is a favorite to win the Royal Rumble match, with rumors saying that he could be an alternative choice for Roman Reigns’ opponent if The Rock can’t make it. It remains to be seen whether The American Nightmare will be winning the match and book his ticket for WrestleMania 39.
