William Regal is well-respected in the pro wrestling industry, and his mind for the business is truly second to none. Regal was released by WWE last year and eventually made his way to AEW. However, it did not last long, as Regal left AEW and is now back in WWE. It seems Regal will be present on both RAW and Smackdown every week as part of his new role.

William Regal officially left AEW, which is something fans expected. This was right after he was written off television last year, at the hands of MJF. Many assumed that Regal was returning to WWE after Triple H took control of the company’s creative direction.

Tony Khan ultimately allowed Regal to leave the company so that he could work with his son in NXT. That being said, William Regal cannot appear as talent on WWE television for an entire year.

As previously reported, William Regal officially came back to WWE earlier this month. Regal is now Vice President, Global Talent Development, and he assumed that role just recently.

According to a report by PW Insider, Regal’s new role in WWE will require him to be at all Raw and SmackDown tapings going forward. Regal has been present at numerous TV tapings since his return to the company, but he was not present for this week’s NXT New Year’s Evil tapings in Orlando.

William Regal is now working with Triple H and can keep a close eye on his son, Charlie Dempsey, who wrestles in NXT. We will have to wait and see how Lord Regal fares in his new role in WWE.
