Vince McMahon was the creative powerhouse behind WWE’s immense success. He played a key role in making it the most successful in the pro wrestling and entertainment industries. However, most of his behavior never sat well with his coworkers.

Eric Bischoff did an interview with Chris Van Vliet on his podcast, Insight. During that conversation, Easy E remembered his 2019 experience working with McMahon. He has now provided a thorough description of McMahon’s mental processes while he was running the show.

“Obviously I wasn’t there on the inside when Vince left. I was there for 4 months, I worked with Vince almost every day. On those days we did work together, it was often for hours and hours and hours. I don’t want to say that I know Vince McMahon, because I don’t, I don’t think anybody does outside of his immediate family. We all get little glimpses of him, but I don’t think many people really know Vince McMahon.”

Eric Bischoff praised Vince McMahon, claiming that he had clear vision for WWE. He agreed to the veracity of reports that scripts were changed just hours before episodes debuted on television. He came to the conclusion that the method, or lack thereof, did not encourage great creativity.

Eric Bischoff continued by mentioning Paul Levesque, who, together with Vince McMahon, played a significant role in the creative process. He also made the assertion that he doesn’t know McMahon all that well, but he has observed some of his behavioral tendencies while working for him. Vince made a lot of impulsive decisions that Paul had to later correct because of how haphazard they were.

“You’ve heard these stories, and I don’t mean to share these experiences as like a tell all or anything negative, because it worked for them and it worked for Vince McMahon, I wish I could have figured those out. But you have heard the stories of showing up to television at 1 o’clock, tearing up the script and starting from scratch. Those aren’t exaggerations. That process, or lack thereof, is not conducive to great creativity.”

In July 2022, Vince McMahon stepped down from his position with WWE. It came about as a result of numerous allegations of sexual misbehavior made against him. In spite of new charges of sexual assault, it was announced on December 13th that Vince McMahon was considering comeback to the WWE.

Despite being such a persona in the company, Vince McMahon managed to take WWE to its utmost heights. Apart from his behavioral tendencies, he always knew how to make the most of an idea.
