WWE held another episode of RAW this week, but it was a special one. Not only was it the last episode of 2022, but Bronson Reed made his return to Vince McMahon’s former company after Triple H’s father-in-law released him.

Ringside News exclusively reported in November that there were those in WWE who wouldn’t be surprised if Bronson Reed returns. That went down on RAW this week, as the former NXT North American Champion returned to disrupt The Miz and Dexter Lumis’ ladder match.

Sean Sapp reported behind Fightful’s paywall that Triple H saw Bronson Reed as a “priority hire.” NJPW wanted to keep him around, but WWE got Reed instead.

We’re told that NJPW wanted to retain Reed and was hopeful he stayed. We’d long been told that Bronson Reed was a priority hire for Triple H when he gained power within WWE. We can confirm he’s been inked to a contract. He is done with New Japan Pro Wrestling unless WWE brokers a deal to allow it, which hasn’t been done yet.

We’ll have to see how Bronson Reed’s second run in WWE pans out. It appears that he is going to tag along with The Miz for now. Only time will tell how long that union lasts.
