Miro used to work as Rusev when he was in WWE, but his run in the company was ruined due to a lot of questionable booking decisions. He made his way to AEW to have a better run as a pro wrestler. While that was certainly going on for a while, things changed eventually. Miro has been absent for quite some time now, and it seems he is just waiting for the right opportunity to make his comeback.

Miro has not been seen in AEW since All Out, and he has not even wrestled on Dynamite for a few months. This has been a huge cause of concern for many fans, as they feel Miro is simply being devalued in AEW.

While speaking to MUSE TV at the premiere of Disney+’s National Treasure: Edge of History, Miro talked about his AEW absence. Miro made it clear that it is out of his hands and that he is just waiting for the right opportunity to return to AEW television.

“It’s not up to me. I’m doing everything I can and from then on, I’m just sitting and waiting for the opportunity.”

Miro also rejected Tony Khan’s plans for his AEW return. The former Rusev wants to win the AEW World Title in the future. It remains to be seen when The Redeemer will finally make his triumphant return to AEW television.
