Paul Wight used to be known as Big Show in the WWE and for the most part, he was always treated like a legend. Wight spent more than twenty years there before he decided to make his way to AEW last year. During his time in WWE, Big Show feuded with many top talent and that includes Triple H. However, it seems Triple H didn’t want to put over The Big Show during a WWE event.

Triple H became a part-time wrestler in 2010, as he had a more relaxed schedule. The Game still took part in many memorable storylines since then. This included the period where he was the leader of The Authority – one of the biggest heel factions in WWE.

The Big Show was also heavily involved in The Authority storyline. In fact, he and Triple H had a feud back in 2013, but it never resulted in a huge match at a Premium Live Event. At most, The Big Show knocked out Triple H. While speaking on Chris Jericho’s Talk Is Jericho podcast, Big Show revealed that Triple H didn’t want to put him over at a major WWE Premium Live Event.

“The whole angle with Hunter [Triple H] that one time, the fans went crazy because Hunter and I got into a big look on the ramp when they [The Authority] were running the company and all that stuff and scr*wing the guys over. Just off a look the fans wanted to see it.

So we built that up and all that, and it never turned into a match. Hunter didn’t want to wrestle me at SummerSlam, didn’t want to put me over at a pay-per-view. ‘There’s not going to be a match. You get to knock me out and that’s the end of it.’ And that’s what happened.”

The Authority storyline never reached a satisfying conclusion for fans, but that is all in the past now. As for Paul Wight, he is happy working in AEW and will likely end his career there by the looks of it.
