William Regal Will Serve In Vice President Role After WWE Return

William Regal quickly became the talk of the pro wrestling world. Regal has been known to contribute towards the development of various promotions, both on-screen and off-screen. Recently, William Regal’s new role has been revealed for his upcoming run in WWE.

William Regal was released by WWE, back in January 2022 and was brought in by All Elite Wrestling two months later as the mentor for the emerging faction, Blackpool Combat Club. He had a successful run in Tony Khan’s company, however, reports emerged that he was on his way out after Triple H took creative control of WWE.

According to PW Insider, William Regal will take over a Vice President role in WWE upon his return to the company. This explains his eagerness to make his way back to work under Triple H’s leadership.

WWE sources have confirmed William Regal has officially come to terms on his new position with the company and will start the first week of January.

We are told Regal will have a Vice President position in the company when he returns, but we have not heard what his official title/role will be.

AEW President and General Manager Tony Khan revealed during the ROH Final Battle media scrum that William Regal had requested not to renew his current deal so that he could leave the promotion to train his son, Charles Dempsey, and return to WWE under the new management led by Triple H, somebody Regal closely work with in NXT during his last run with the company.

William Regal has been reportedly confirmed to come to terms with WWE and will assume his duties starting the first week of January. That being said, he will not appear as an on-screen character for an entire year as part of his AEW release. The report further added that Regal has been given a Vice President position and will serve in the new role upon his return.
