Brandi Rhodes has not been spotted in the ring for a very long time. Fans were curious to know the reason behind it. Brandi Rhodes recently explained why she hasn’t made a comeback to professional wrestling, and she has good reason for her extended absence.

Brandi Rhodes hasn’t fought in the ring in over a year for a good reason. Prior to Cody Rhodes’ return to WWE at WrestleMania 38, the former AEW Chief Brand Officer and her EVP husband left Tony Khan’s company in February. Since then, Brandi has not participated in any promotions, but she has launched her own parenting-focused podcast.

Rhodes spoke with WWE star Lacey Evans on their experiences as mothers in the pro wrestling business during a recent episode of 2 Truths and 1 Lie. Rhodes talked about her AEW travel schedule following the birth of her first kid.

“Most of the time I would leave at 6 a.m., get there, and then legitimately, if I wasn’t booked, get the latest flight that I could back. It was pretty terrible being away from her just for that period of time. If I text somebody and they didn’t get back to me, my heart was stopping. It was just not for me, and I guess that’s a lot of the reason why I haven’t been back.”

Brandi Rhodes commended Lacey Evans for always being there with her children despite WWE’s travel schedule. While Evans wishes she could let go of control, she is appreciative to have her mother there to help, even when they were filming the interview. They also discussed how their mothers are still involved with their separate families.

“I’ve been blessed to where I don’t have to leave them. WWE has been good on that side. We were talking before about how it was kind of difficult at first in 2016 when I started with the company, but now they’re very supportive when it comes to family and moms and the whole nine, so I’ve been very blessed.”

Brandi Rhodes felt fortunate to have the company’s support. However, let’s see when Rhodes returns to the ring. Keep checking Ringside news for more developments.
