CM Punk had all the momentum in the world after debuting in AEW last year. Unfortunately, it didn’t last as long as fans would have liked. Punk has been recovering from an injury he sustained at AEW All Out in September, and now he has some positive news to share about his recovery.

Punk went ballistic at the All Out media scrum as he as went on a scathing rant on Colt Cabana, Hangman Page, and The Young Bucks. That resulted in a slew of rumors after CM Punk and Ace Steel threw down with The Elite afterward.

CM Punk suffered a triceps injury during the All Out event and had successful surgery for it. He has been absent from AEW television since then, but there are also rumors that he might not be back as AEW is trying to buy out his contract.

Punk took to his Instagram stories and included a screenshot of his training routine, along with an encouraging update on the foot injury he suffered earlier this year.

First time doing road work since the broken foot. For anyone out there going through it: the light at the end of the tunnel is you.”

AEW is also selling new CM Punk merchandise despite his suspension. It remains to be seen whether CM Punk will end up returning to AEW somewhere down the line or not. If anything, CM Punk’s status in the pro wrestling world is a mystery yet again.
