Rey Mysterio Pulled From Big Angle Due To Injury

Rey Mysterio is a true veteran in the world of professional wrestling, whose influence in the industry knows no bounds. He has sacrificed his body for the business and as a result, has suffered a slew of injuries over the years. In fact, his latest injury made him pull out from a huge angle.

The Master Of the 6-1-9 was unable to defeat GUNTHER for the Intercontinental Championship a couple of weeks ago. Since then, fans wondered what WWE had planned for Mysterio.

Ringside News exclusively reported that Rey Mysterio is dealing with short-term injury. Dave Meltzer confirmed this during his daily update Wrestling Observer, and he revealed that Mysterio was pulled from the SmackDown World Cup due to a “foot or ankle” injury.

“Rey Mysterio was scheduled for the World Cup but he had either a foot or an ankle injury and was replaced by Mustafa Ali.”
