The North American Title was vacated when Solo Sikoa received his main roster call-up out of nowhere. Carmelo Hayes vs. Nathan Frazer vs. Oro Mensah vs. Von Wagner vs. Wes Lee was the match, and they all battled in a ladder match to determine the next champion.

This match was full of high-spots and death defying action. Each man brought their all to the opening match of Halloween Havoc. Needless to say, the crowd chanted “holy sh*t” on a couple of occasions.

In the end, Wes Lee scaled the ladder and pulled down the NXT North American Title. This was a big win for Lee, because he’s experienced a very hard 2022.

There was once a time when Lee was 1/2 of the NXT Tag Team Champions. Then his partner, Nash Carter, was fired due to resurfaced photograph of himself in a Hitler mustache. That photo was thanks to Carter’s ex, Kimber Lee, but it still broke up MSK.

This marks Wes Lee’s first singles title in any company, according to the commentary during the Halloween Havoc event. Naturally, this was a big deal and received a great ovation from the live crowd.
