Mia Yim Is Officially Done With Impact Wrestling

Mia Yim had a bright future ahead in WWE, as she had a solid run in NXT. Unfortunately for her, that was all derailed after she was called up to the main roster. She was eventually released from WWE after the company had nothing for her following Retribution’s split.

Following a disastrous and forgettable run on the WWE main roster, Mia Yim was released by the company on November 4th of last year. She took a break and then went back to the indie scene in order to regain her confidence as a professional wrestler.

Mia Yim then went back home to Impact Wrestling, as she returned earlier this year. It was believed that Mia Yim might have been done with the company after Bound For Glory.

According to Fightful’s paywall, Mia Yim did not extend her deal with Impact Wrestling and is now a free agent.

Fightful Select confirmed that Mia Yim did not extend her deal with IMPACT Wrestling and is now a free agent. Yim returned this past spring, and signed a short-term deal. We’d reported that her deal was set to expire this weekend, barring an extension.

Mia Yim put over Mickie James and Taylor Wilde on her way out of IMPACT, and we’re told that the door is open for a potential return on IMPACT’s side. Those that we spoke to said that her time there was positive and she worked well with the locker room.

We will have to wait and see what Mia Yim will do next. With her husband Keith Lee being in AEW perhaps we might just see her there soon enough.
