Mia Yim was released from WWE this week along with many more talented Superstars. Yim’s fiancé Keith Lee was also axed, but they were not the only engaged couple who met their firings; Karrion Kross and Scarlett Bordeaux were also cut. The company was also making plans for the HBIC prior to letting her go.

Yim was once a member of Retribution as Reckoning. That stable split up and she disappeared. Then Mia Yim was released before she could do anything after getting a spot on the RAW roster during the 2021 WWE Draft.

According toFightful, Mia Yim was moved around a lot; so much so that WWE couldn’t nail down plans for her. She didn’t stay on a brand long enough to see her on television, but there were plans to use her prior to the Draft.

Mia Yim was drafted, not used, and hadn’t wrestled at all in 2021. Fightful learned there were several tentative plans to have her on shows before the draft, and she’d quietly changed brands multiple times. However, those plans all ended up getting nixed and never got off the ground.

Mia Yim seems to be doing fine, because she has incredible support around her. It is very disappointing that fans didn’t get to see Mia Yim on the WWE main roster, but odds are she will find a spot somewhere else in about 90 days.
