Andrade El Idolo made his debut in AEW last year, after a disappointing run in WWE. Fans were ecstatic to see the Mexican star in AEW and hoped for many great things for El Idolo. Then things changed in recent memory.

Things have not been going well for AEW for the past couple of months. Andrade El Idolo was also involved in a backstage altercation with Sammy Guevara. He was actually sent home before AEW Dynamite this week.

Idolo was pulled from the show, but Sammy Guevara was left on the card. Many believed that the Mexican star intentionally tried to get fired by Tony Khan.

As Ringside News exclusively reported, AEW’s legal team received word that Andrade was issuing threats to Guevara. The former NXT Champion still showed up as planned and assaulted the Spanish God.

While speaking during a recent Jim Cornette Experience podcast, Jim Cornette blasted Tony Khan for not firing Andrade El Idolo prior to the backstage brawl.

“He [Tony Khan] should have fired him [Andrade] before… But he hasn’t done housecleaning in three years. A couple of the people that really f*cked up bad like that f*cking Jimmy Havoc and [Joey Janela] and whatever they were allowed to matriculate out.”

Andrade El Idolo even made his way to AEW Dynamite to fight with Sammy Guevara. As it was previously reported, Andrade is trying to get fired from AEW. It remains to be seen whether he will remain a part of the AEW family or not.
