Sammy Guevara and Andrade El Idolo got in backstage confrontation that even made TMZ. Now, a lot more about the situation is coming to light.

Ringside News was told by someone very close to the matter that AEW received notice prior to this backstage fight. We were told that Andrade openly said that he was going to AEW Dynamite to punch Sammy Guevara, and the proper course of action was taken.

We were told that someone informed AEW’s legal team about Andrade’s threat, but nothing was done about it. Obviously, Andrade was still able to show up at AEW’s television tapings and start a fight with the Spanish God.

This is a very interesting turn of events. It seems that AEW had a lot of notice about the situation, but they proceeded as usual. Hopefully, this situation will help future incidents from becoming a problem.

As of this writing, Andrade has not returned to AEW. We will have to see what happens next, but Tony Khan is in no mood to release talent so they can go to a rejuvenated WWE.
