Andrade El Idolo made his debut in AEW last year, after a lackluster run in WWE. Fans were ecstatic to see the Mexican star in AEW and hoped for many great things for El Idolo.

However, apart from a few solid matches with the likes of PAC, Cody Rhodes and others, Andrade El Idolo never quite took off in AEW. With Triple H now the head of WWE Creative, fans wondered whether Andrade would go back to WWE.

In fact, he has made several hints about this fact. He was also involved in a backstage altercation with Sammy Guevara. Andrade El Idolo was actually sent home before AEW Dynamite this week.

While speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted AEW talent were warned beforehand when it came to a potential brawl between Idolo and Guevara.

”Tuesday night, they were talked to, both of them – they were told ‘no fighting.’ Andrade was told that ‘you’re not gonna get fired if you fight, but you’re gonna get sent home.’ Andrade said ‘Don’t worry, nothing’s gonna happen, there’s gonna be no fighting.’ Sammy said the same thing. Thye had security there, and everybody was warned ahead of time.”

Andrade dropped “respect me and I’ll respect you” graphic on Twitter after Tony Khan called off the match. As it was previously reported, Andrade is trying to get fired from AEW. It remains to be seen whether he will remain a part of the AEW family or not.
