Andrade El Idolo made a name for himself working in CMLL in Mexico as well as New Japan Pro Wrestling. He then improved a lot in WWE and eventually debuted in AEW. Sammy Guevara recently claimed that Ric Flair got Andrade his AEW job.

Andrade El Idolo recently gave an interview in which he asserted that he and Sammy Guevara had backstage altercation after Guevara apparently complained that he had been struck too hard during a battle. Andrade said, “I said it to your FACE if you had a problem with me and you said NOTHING, I wont beat your ass because im a professional, don’t be scared. When I say something I name names, and im not scared to get fired! #Sammy.” Guevara responded by saying that he should go back to WWE.

YOU didnt say sh-t to me you liar but heres some truth you ungrateful prick You would be jobless if it wasn’t for your dad in law. Are you really mad at me or mad at yourself for failing to get over for a SECOND time. Just go back to Wwe like we all know you want to do & f-ck off

Andrade recently was interviewed by Más Lucha about various topics. During the conversation, Sammy Guevara and Eddie Kingston’s backstage altercation was mentioned. Andrade talked about an issue he had with Sammy backstage as well and claimed that Guevara complained backstage because he hit him too hard.

Once more, it’s probable that everything here is a preparation for a match. Of course, it’s also possible that there are actual problems present. This Friday on Rampage, Andrade El Idolo will compete against Preston Vance in a career vs. mask match. I think we’ll find out shortly whether Guevara and Andrade are actually employed or whether these problems are real.

What do you think of Andrade El Idolo’s AEW run so far? Sound off in the comments.
