Shawn Michaels is certainly one of the best in-ring performers to have ever graced a WWE ring. He was touted as Mr. WrestleMania and he truly lived up to the moniker.

He is currently focused on improving NXT to the best of his limit. Triple H has been serious when it comes to NXT’s global expansion. In addition to that, the new regime still allows for indie talent to be signed.

While speaking to My San Antonio, Michaels said NXT will continue to focus on independent wrestlers while also looking at college athletes and also Japan.

“We are still reaching out to other people with experience that have wrestled on the independent scene or been out in Japan or in other companies. That is something NXT will continue to do in the future. Nothing is off the table. We simply want to continue to find people that are just as passionate about the WWE product as we are.”
