AEW has certainly come far since its inception back in 2019. While it has undergone quite a few changes, not everything has been smooth sailing for the company.

AEW sent an e-mail to WWE co-CEOs Nick Khan and Stephanie McMahon, warning them ‘not to tamper’ with their talent. As previously reported, Malakai Black wasn’t the only AEW star who asked for his release.

According to The Wrestling Observer‘s Ryan Frederick, it was revealed that WWE sent feelers to stars such as Buddy Matthews, Andrade, Keith Lee Adam Cole and Kyle O’Reilly.

The Wrestling Observer’s Ryan Frederick responded to a post on the F4W Board about others who may have had feelers sent out to them. The user wrote, “I’d expect that one may well have been Buddy Matthews. The other ex WWE guys I guess it could be would be Keith Lee, Cole, O’Reilly or Andrade.

Buddy Matthews will be parting ways with AEW and even opened up about his future recently. We will have to wait and see whether more ex-WWE stars will return to WWE or not.
