AEW has certainly come far since its inception back in 2019. While it has undergone quite a few changes, not everything has been smooth sailing for the company.

As previously reported, AEW has given conditional release to Malakai Black, because of his own mental wellbeing. This came as shock for many. In fact, Black himself had asked for his release.

AEW sent an e-mail to WWE co-CEOs Nick Khan and Stephanie McMahon warning them ‘not to tamper’ with their talent. According to Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reported that besides Black, there were other AEW stars who had asked for their release from the company.

“Black was not the only person to ask for his release at the time.

AEW certainly has a lot to improve on right now, but we will have to wait and see whether the company will manage to keep its talent happy in the long run or not.
