Lady Frost wrestled for AEW and NWA before signing a contract with Impact Wrestling, where she became an important part of the Knockouts Division. Fans were shocked when Frost sought her release from the promotion but her request wasn’t accepted.

According to PW Insider, Impact had intended for Frost to work tapings against Masha Slamovich. Frost agreed to that but wanted the company to give confirmation in written.

Impact Wrestling sources cited that Lady Frost was offered a full release of her Impact Wrestling deal if and when she would put over Masha Slamovich on Impact TV so that Impact could write Frost off and continue to build Mashovich, who is still getting a strong push leading into Bound for Glory, but that Frost had instead stopped communication with the company and requested a release publicly instead.

After publishing our post earlier today, sources close to Frost adamently denied that was the case, stating that in communication with Gail Kim, Frost agreed to work TV tapings on 7/1 and 7/2 (which would have been Atlanta, GA) to do the match with Slamovich, but asked for a confirmation “in writing” that working the dates would then grant her a contractual release.  Frost claimed that she asked for that confirmation several times in writing, but communications ceased.
