Steve McMichael has seen his share of struggles on the gridiron and inside the squared circle. Real life has been his latest challenge. The College Football Hall of Fame member and former WCW wrestler is suffering from debilitating ALS.

McMichael made sporadic appearances in the WWF in the early 90s before joining WCW. From 1996 to 1997, the former Chicago Bear was a member of the legendary Four Horsemen stable.

While speaking on To Be The Man, Ric Flair recently gave an update on McMichael’s health. Flair made it clear he doubts how long McMichael can carry on.

”Mongo might be in the hospital, I’m waiting to hear. This will be his third trip in the last five weeks, which really, really makes you think even bigger, because he’s fought the fought of a lifetime. I don’t know how much more he has in him … He can’t say anything.”
