El Hijo del Fantasma took on archrival Tony D’Angelo in an Anything Goes Street Fight at NXT HeatWave this week. WWE booked the match with the stipulation that Escobar would get his group back if he won. The downside was that he’d have to leave NXT if he lost.

Santos Escobar arrived to the ring with Joaquin Wilde, Cruz Del Toro, and Elektra Lopez by his side. The Mexican veteran wore his signature luchadore mask for his entrance. But nothing could prepare him for the Don of NXT, who sent him packing from NXT 2.0.

D’Angelo picked up the win after hitting Escobar with a crowbar to the head. Legado helped Escobar get on his feet after the match as the crowd chanted “Legado” after the match. Escobar could very well be on his way to the main roster now that he’s done with NXT 2.0.

Santos Escobar has previously teased going to the main roster during the WrestleMania 39 Launch Party. We’ll have to wait and see what’s next in store for Santos Escobar and Legado Del Fantasma. Keep reading Ringside News for more.
