Carmelo Hayes unified the Cruiserweight and North American Championship by beating Roderick Strong. The A-Champion won the title for the second time by beating Cameron Grimes at NXT: In Your House. His next defense is now on the card for Heatwave.

Carmelo Hayes cut a promo on NXT 2.0 this week. Hayes said he issued an open challenge last week but was disappointed when Nathan Frazer took out Giovanni Vinci to answer the open challenge.

Giovanni Vinci appeared and demanded a title match from Hayes next week at NXT Heatwave special. The two soon found themselves in a brawl but were separated by officials.

Plus, Santos Escobar and Tony D’Angelo will settle their score once and for all in a Street Fight. If Escobar wins he’ll get back Legado del Fantasma from D’Angelo. If he loses, he’ll have no choice but to leave NXT.
